Resignation Announcement
The Municipality wishes to notify the public that Don Smith has resigned from the position of Fire Chief effective October 25th, 2022. We would like to assure residents that this departure will not hinder the provision of Fire Services. Mayor and Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kyle Smart as the new Fire Chief.
Since Don’s joining of the department in 1980, he has been a valuable member of the team. His contribution and dedication to the department is greatly appreciated. Don has a combined total of 26 years on the department and became Chief in 2017. On behalf of Mayor, Council and Staff, we would like to express our appreciation of Don’s contributions to the Community and wish him every all the very best in his retirement.
