Curbside Collection

Curbside collection is every Tuesday.

Waste set out for collection should be placed at the curbside no earlier than 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection.

Waste must be placed in a container suitable to prevent animals (i.e. bears, birds etc.) from entering and spillage if tipped over.

Garage limit up to five (5) bags or cans; each container must not exceed 50lbs.

Non-household Waste

Residents can also deposit non- household waste at the Township of Larder Lake’s landfill site located on Davey Low Road.

Non-household waste may be subject to tipping fees.

Residents are encouraged to purchase landfill tipping passes in advance of going to the Landfill.

Tipping passes can be purchased at the Municipal Office during regular business hours.

Summer - May 1st to September 30th Annually

Monday: 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Thursday: 11:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.
Saturday: 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Winter – October 1st to April 30th Annually

Thursday: 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Saturday: 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Introducing your new recycling cart

As of January 1, 2026, Larder Lake will be moving to a recycling cart system. Also starting in January, recycling will be picked up every other Monday, with the first collection taking place on Monday, January 12.

Larder Lake’s recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Ontario.

Be recycle ready

  • Give containers a quick rinse before putting in your recycling.
  • Place materials clean, dry and loose in your recycling.
  • Flatten and bundle cardboard to save space.
  • Lids and labels can remain on containers.
  • Have your recycling to the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day.
  • Hazardous materials, like batteries and medical sharps, do not belong in your recycling. Safely recycle them at a designated drop-off location.
